is the President and Executive Director.  She has a background in early childhood education, intuitive management, and community organizing. The idea for Hooked On Nature grew out of her work with the mayor?s office and police department in Rutland, Vermont where she helped the city create Rutland?s United Neighborhoods.  She has served on the Board of Directors for Genesis Farm and Beyond War as it transitioned to the Foundation for Global Community.  She is currently a member of the Grassroots Advisory Board for the Children and Nature Network co-founded by Richard Louv and serves on the board of directors of For Generations to Come.  She has one grown daughter and currently lives in the San Francisco Bay area of California.

Bill DeVincenzi, Treasurer and Secretary. Bill brings his many years experience as a finance executive in the Silicon Valley to assist us in our finances. He is presently an Lecturer at San Jose State University where he integrates the Triple Bottom Line (a revision of the conventional bottom line to include a concern for the community and the environment) into his Finance and Accounting classes.

Wileta Burch
, one of the founders of the Foundation for Global Community whose mission is ...to discover, live and communicate what is needed to build a world that functions for the benefit of all life.  Wileta has devoted her life to the unfolding of this mission and worked with countless projects and initiatives to help raise human consciousness. She co-produced a series of beautiful and inspiring videos that reflect a reverence for our earth and our place within it.  She is also the editor of the book "Coming Home , Experiences, Meditations and Stories to help us Reconnect with the World of Nature".

Amy Pertschuk
, Amy Pertschuk is Managing Director of the Children &Nature Network (C&NN) and part of their strategic planning and implementation team. Her work includes outreach and communications with network members and grassroots leadership. Pertschuk designed and developed C&NN's online strategy. She also manages the ever-expanding website resources and tools that engage, inform, and serve the needs of the growing children and nature movement. Pertschuk is active in the regional children and nature campaign in Northern California, where she lives. She also serves as a Board of Director for Hooked on Nature. Prior to C&NN, Pertschuk was a co-founder of eNature.com, the Web?s premier nature-discovery resource. www.enature.com
Lucy Valentine Wurtz, is currently the development director of Waldorf School of the Peninsula, where she previously served as a long-time board member and co-founder of its high school. Her work includes outreach, community development, and fundraising. Prior to becoming involved in Waldorf education, Lucy worked for U.S. Senator Alan Cranston, in local government with an emphasis on strategic planning and community relations, and as a volunteer in Tanzania. Lucy and her husband have three sons and live in Portola Valley.
Hayden Brooks is the President of American Realty Corporation, Co-Founder of the Children in Nature Community Central Texas, and currently serves on the boards for Westcave Preserve, Downtown Austin Alliance, and the Austin Parks Committee. Past board service includes the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, Scenic Texas, United Way, the Austin Parks Foundation, and he is the recipient of Leadership Austin?s Outstanding Membership Award.
Derek Harwell is the Director of Outdoor Trips and Cal Studies at the Urban School in San Francisco. Derek has devoted his teaching career to educating students, parents, faculty and administration on the need for and benefits of outdoor education including his workshop at the California Association of Independent Schools Conference ? When Leaving the Building is the Best Education.
